What we offer
What is a
Barn Quilt?
A Barn Quilt is essentially a painted quilt block that was originally meant to be a way to reflect a family's history or heritage. Barn quilts date back 300 plus years, but in 2001, Donna Sue Groves, from Adams County, Ohio sparked the modern-day movement as she honored her mother who was an avid quilter by placing a barn quilt on her barn. Her idea trended quickly creating the "First American barn quilt trail". Trails now are being added across our country as tourist attractions and or to add beauty or decoration to any space. What some don't realize is that they are not "just for barns". They can be placed anywhere, such as in or outside your home, on your garage, mailbox or even your business. While there are many substrates used to make barn quilts, here at Sew Country we prefer aluminum composite for our exterior barn quilts and quality exterior paint. All of our barn quilts are hand painted with lots of love and attention to detail.

"Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of god's grace in its various forms."

Meet the owner

Welcome! My name is Brooke, I am married to the love of my life and a mom to two. During the pandemic I discovered a creative outlet that I never knew I needed. Creating artwork around my countryside has brought me so much joy and I want to share that joy with others.
To me, it's more than just a barn quilt or a workshop.
to me, it's sharing my gift with you.
